Seoul Mini-Mountains - Exhibition
The exhibition Seoul Mini-Mountains: Reading the City from its Voids, held at the Seoul Museum of History, presented an immersive exploration of 24 residual mountain fragments embedded in Seoul’s urban fabric. Through large-scale photography, analytical maps, interpretive models, and video installations, it revealed how these overlooked topographical gaps functioned as ecological buffers, informal commons, and cultural anchors. Drawing on years of fieldwork and student research, the exhibition challenged the conventional view of the city as a continuous built surface. Instead, it constructed an alternative urban narrative centered on absence, porosity, and the spatial value of what remained unbuilt, inviting visitors to rediscover Seoul through its topographical voids.
